Lesson Two:

Welcome to your second English lesson ! Today, we will focus on more English sounds that are often challenging for Arabic speakers, such as the “p” and “v” sounds, as well as the “th” sounds in words like “think” and “this.” We will listen carefully to these sounds, practice saying them, and learn some helpful tips to improve your pronunciation. Don’t worry if it feels difficult at first—just try your best, and with practice, you will become more confident!

SECTION ONE:  Words beginning with “TH”

1. **Think** – I always try to think before I speak.
2. **Thank** – I want to thank you for your help.
3. **This** – This is my favorite book.
4. **That** – Can you see that car over there?
5. **There** – There is a cat in the garden.
6. **Their** – Their house is very big.
7. **These** – These apples are very sweet.
8. **Those** – I like those shoes on the shelf.
9. **Though** – She was tired, though she finished her work.
10. **Thirsty** – I am very thirsty after running.

SECTION TWO:  Words with “TH” in the middle of the word.

1. **Mother** – My mother makes delicious food.
2. **Father** – His father works in a bank.
3. **Brother** – I have one younger brother.
4. **Other** – I would like the other piece of cake.
5. **Weather** – The weather is nice today.
6. **Nothing** – There is nothing in the box.
7. **Together** – We play football together every weekend.
8. **Another** – Can I have another cup of tea?
9. **Birthday** – My birthday is in July.
10. **Healthy** – Eating vegetables helps you stay healthy.

SECTION THREE:  Words with “TH” at the end of the word.

1. **With** – I am going to the park with my friend.
2. **Both** – Both of my sisters are teachers.
3. **Bath** – The baby is taking a bath now.
4. **Teeth** – You should brush your teeth every morning.
5. **Earth** – The earth goes around the sun.
6. **Worth** – This painting is worth a lot of money.
7. **Month** – My exams start next month.
8. **Truth** – It is important to always tell the truth.
9. **Growth** – The plant showed a lot of growth this year.
10. **Path** – We walked along the path in the forest.

SECTION FOUR:  Now read the full text slowly and clearly correcting your pronunciation each time the teacher stops you.
