Advanced English Lesson: Conversation. My Favourite music.

INSTRUCTIONS to teachers and students:

ENGLISH: These English lessons are designed to be used either by students to help themselves improve their English or by teachers to use when delivering lessons to their students.   • What are some of the current trends within this genre?
  • Are there any emerging artists or new sub-genres that are gaining popularity?
  • Speculate on the future of the genre. Where do they see it heading in the next few years?

Interactive Activities:

  • Listen to and analyse a song together. Discuss its lyrics, composition, and overall impact.
  • Create a playlist of essential tracks from the genre’s history. Ask the student to explain their selections.
  • Debate the genre’s most influential artist or album and support the argument with examples.
