This weekend sees the 70th year that Queen Elizabeth has been the Queen of The United Kingdom and The Commonwealth. To celebrate she has declared a national holiday this weekend and the 54 member countries of the Commonwealth will celebrate with her. To explain what this means I have put three links below.

In this episode, I talk about why it’s important to embrace difficulty and to get excited when you can’t do something. This is how you’re going to improve. We also go into the difference between deliberate practice and passive learning and I give you my favorite method for learning English fast.
3). INDIGENOUS BOARDING SCHOOLS
In the summer of 2021, Indigenous people across Canada started visiting the sites of former Indian Residential Schools. With ground-penetrating radar devices in hand, they slowly swept the earth, hoping, with heavy hearts, to confirm a long-held rumor about the untold numbers of Indigenous children who had vanished while enrolled in these facilities.
Although these recent discoveries in Canada have forced a political reckoning there, the United States is only just beginning to grapple with its own history of Indian Boarding Schools. Starting in the 19th century, the US opened hundreds of schools with the explicit mission… to “Kill the Indian, Save the Man.”

Below are two links to a test. The first link is to a listening test and the second is to a grammar/sentence construction test. Here you can test how good your English is. Here are the instructions:
LISTENING TEST: Each test has 15 short listening exercises. When you are ready click the PLAY button and listen to the conversation. “ONLY LISTEN ONCE” then answer the question below the play button and finally click next. After the 15th audio listening click NEXT anain and you will be given a message and a score. You can compare your score on the IELTS chart.
READING TEST: In the same way as the listening test. Read the sentence and answer the question below. Then click NEXT. There are 15 questions. At the end of the final question click NEXT again and your score will appear. Again, compare your score on the IELTS chart.

Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Sal Khan. Its goal is creating a set of online tools that help educate students. 
The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. You can study hundreds of subjects absolutely free. Just register an account and start studying. It’s very simple. JOIN HERE click
